VISITING A CHURCH FOR THE FIRST TIME CAN BE DAUNTING
Here’s a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help make a visit to GCC that little bit easier.
WHAT TIME DOES THE GATHERING START?
Gospel City Church meets every weekend on Sundays at Zion Lutheran Church, 24 Cowan Street, Gawler 5118
The gathering begins at 10:00 am
HOW LONG DOES THE SERVICE GO FOR?
Services last about an hour and a half, and we aim for the gathering to be God honouring and edifying. We love that God is building a church of all ages and diverse cultures!
WHERE DO I GO WHEN I GET THERE?
As you walk into the building, someone will meet you at the door and show you where to find the toilets and children's ministry. If you need anything throughout your time with us, just ask one of the people who greeted you.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Don't feel like you have to dress up. Most people wear casual clothes, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SERVICE?
Every Sunday, we sing songs of praise to our great God, which are a mix of old and new. We Preach from the Bible messages that are driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have public prayers and celebrate the Lord’s Supper (first Sunday of the month). At the close of our time together, we encourage you to stick around and join us for tea and coffee. Generally, our services are characterised by emphasis on the Bible and its doctrines, passionate corporate singing, and friendly interaction with one another and our guests.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Yes! Our kids usually spend the first 30 minutes in the service before we pray for them and send them out to Gospel Kids for the duration of the sermon. Gospel Kids is a safe, age-appropriate environment led by a team of people who are passionate to see children know Jesus and make him known. (Ages 0-9)
